Day 8 of 21 Days of Prayer

  • Hilliard Church of Christ 4300 Avery Road Hilliard, OH, 43026 United States (map)

Now he told them a parable on the need for them to pray always and not give up. Luke 18:1

We are called to always pray, pray without ceasing, constantly pray, etc. The Bible is full of quotes reminding us to pray always. It is critical to our relationship with God that we be in constant communication with God. We are reminded to pray in thanksgiving, in our times of need, in our devotion, and in our joy in God’s will, among many reasons to be in prayer without ceasing. We must pray not just for ourselves but for other Christians, for nonbelievers and for our leaders both spiritual and worldly. We are reminded to pray for those we love and our enemies.

With so many reminders of whom we should pray for and how often we should be in prayer, it is hard to believe how difficult it seems to reconcile a scriptural need for prayer with the amount of time that we actually dedicate to prayer in our daily lives.

Prayer for Day 8: Please pray today for time to review these examples of prayer available throughout scripture. Please pray that God will work in your life to ensure that you are following his plan for your prayer life and that you will grow in your commitment to prayer.
